Regular Season Round 19: Kortrijk - Groningen 124-79

No shocking result in a game when second ranked BelgianKortrijk (14-4) crushed at home 15th ranked Dutch Groningen (5-11) 124-79 on Friday. Kortrijk dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Groningen 's 46 and made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Kortrijk forced 20 Groningen turnovers and outrebounded them 41-20 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kortrijk looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Jackson Stormo (206-1999, college: Siena) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Bram Bogaerts (198-1998) accounted for 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. American guard Zach Harvey (198-2001, college: UCSB) came up with 26 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import point guard Tavian Dunn-Martin (173-1998, college: FGCU) added 13 points and 7 assists respectively for Groningen in the defeat. Five Kortrijk and four Groningen players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kortrijk maintains second place with 14-4 record having just two points less than leader Oostende. Loser Groningen keeps the fifteenth position with 11 games lost.
